The Mission Behind the Visit
The Jersey Shore Animal Center is dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming animals in need. When Dr. Harvey’s teamed up to support the shelter, we brought more than just products—we brought hope and the message that every animal deserves proper nutrition and care, no matter their circumstances.
We donated blankets, towels, toys from Project Hive, and treats to help make the animals more comfortable during their stay. These simple items may seem small, but they go a long way in making the shelter feel more like home for the dogs and cats waiting for their second chance.
Meeting the Dogs
One of the most rewarding parts of the visit was meeting the dogs. Each one had a story, a unique personality, and a lot of love to give. Many of these pups are still waiting for their forever families, but thanks to the incredible care provided by the shelter, they’re in a safe and loving environment while they wait. The dogs were so excited to see us and even more excited to try the treats we brought along! Seeing their faces light up as they enjoyed these high-quality, nutritious treats was a standout moment of the day. We loved watching how happy they were to receive something so delicious and beneficial for their health.
We all had our favorites after meeting them, with each dog leaving a special impression on our hearts. Whether it was the shy pup who warmed up to us with a gentle wag of the tail, or the energetic dog who couldn’t wait to play, every interaction was a reminder of the resilience and love these dogs have to offer.
Partnering with Paw Power Nutrition
We weren’t alone in our mission! We were joined by Eric of Paw Power Nutrition, who generously donated their dog-friendly peanut butter. Not only do the shelter dogs love the taste, but some of our Dr. Harvey’s influencers also use it to create fun treat recipes for their pups! We learned that the shelter dogs receive peanut butter once a month as a special treat, and this donation would bring some extra joy to their day. Together, we shared in the happiness of helping these animals feel loved and cared for. Collaborating with like-minded organizations like Paw Power Nutrition makes a huge difference in spreading awareness and making a positive impact.
The Power of Giving Back
Visiting the Jersey Shore Animal Center reminded me of why I’m so passionate about working with Dr. Harvey’s. Nutrition, care, and love can make an enormous difference in an animal’s life, whether they’re in a shelter or at home with their forever family. These dogs deserve the best, and our visit was a step toward ensuring they receive just that.
